We bought the land with an 18th century stone barn, which had planning permission for conversion into a two-storey residence. The intention is to create a sustainable building for a modest budget. This means recycling or re-using original materials; making use of other reclaimed building materials; using timber from sustainable sources; using lime instead of cement, plaster and concrete where we can; using innovative products; and sourcing locally.
Pretty impressive James, will be worth all the hard work when its complete.
Good Luck
Nigel
