  1. Wow! You are making great progress with the house. Hope it’s not too cold in the yurt at the moment. We/I am/are still tweeting, but occasionally get tools & my personal accounts mixed up! Trying to make sense of trending too.
    Have a great Xmas.

    • The yurt is well insulated so we’re quite cosy in here, but it does mean keeping the fire going in winter. In previous years, with the cold winters that we’ve had, that did get to be a real chore – having to keep putting wood on throughout the night. Usually, one of us would sense things chilling down and wake up enough to chuck some logs on; or nudge the other, saying “it’s your turn”.
But this year, we’ve cheated quite a bit and got an electric hook-up, so that a little heater kicks in when the fire dies down. It makes life so much easier. Even if we do feel a bit guilty about it.
Oh, and by the way, I’ve just shaved 2mm off my thumb whilst chopping kindling with that nice little axe we had off you at Green Man!
